Who said the Skywatch pictures must feature beautiful sunsets or clear blue skies? This is what the sky over Liège (and most of western Europe apparently) looks like this afternoon. Nevertheless, if you do fancy slightly more cheerful photos go to the Skywatch blog.

Greg, these are fantastic shots. I love that flat gray sky and that moody skyline.
Living in Seattle, I see lots of these gray skies and they can be beautiful in their own way. These are, indeed, fantastic shots and a moody skyline! Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!
we have had several gray skys also her in Texas...thanks for stopping by to visit
Thanks for checking my blog. The gray skies here in Utah (USA) have been relentless this winter and spring also..only recently blue skies. Grey is okay..blue better!
Have a great (insert color of day here) day.
I am all too familiar with skies like that! Washington is dubbed the "evergreen state" for our trees, but I always said it should be the "everGRAY state"! A great sunrise/sunset is always nice, but I have to admit, I do sometimes like the gray, too. It's a comfort thing, I guess. These are great shots! :) Thanks for stopping by my site!
Grey skies are something that I don't see a lot of but your photo are terrific.
Actually, and I'm not griping too much, but we've had nothing but blue skies for too long - everything is dry as a bone...
So gray skies look pretty good!
Hey neighbour ! that's funny, meeting somebody from Liège in the english speaking Blogworld ! So far I met two others from Belgium from Antwerp and another flemish town.
Of course we have the same skies, lol !
Great shots Greg! We get more than our fair share of those kind of skies but they can still be dynamic. Thanks for sharing and thanks for visiting.
Smiles
Tell us about it! Original offering for skywatch!
Wow, what a contrast between this gray photo and the one above. :-)
Good for you finding the one cloud feature in all that grey.
