More photos of Thasos

Here's some photos of beaches. This is Paradeisos beach,

and this is Alyki beach,

which was also the site of an ancient marble quarry, remains of which are still visible on the beach.

This is a rather cliche view of life on a Greek island. Old men sat on a park bench in Limenas doing nothing.

But Thasos isn't all see and sand; it's also got a forrest,

cute little villages on the mountain

and many sites of archeological interest. Here's a mosaic in the courtyard of the archeological museum:

Hi from South Shields, nice picture you have here today, I've loved every holiday that I took on a Greek island.

I need your support, see my latest post at South Shields Daily Photo

Photographers rights in the UK and worldwide are under increasing threat and we need to make a stand now!

Unless something changes dramatically, this will be the last ever post at South Shields Daily Photo.
