Only Nature makes bold to fool our notion of symmetry and leave us perfectly satisfied with the result(compare the purple to the white parts of the petals)...

"Boldness makes up for meanness of stature!", seems to communicate to us the humble pansy with its glamorous whiteness and striking decoration.

Nice post I say, too, but what makes you believe that this is a "simple flower", Abraham Lincoln? What other "simple flowers" do you like where you live?
