This is a work of 'public art' installed in front of the Science Museum. It vaguely resembles an elephant and it spurts out a huge jet of water when you send it a text message.
It's part of the An elephant in the city initiative and can be viewed live on its webcam. Of course, it is linked to the UN Millennium Development Goals; these days art has to have social meaning and humanitarian purpose, that's probably why it's so bad... I mean, it's a tank and a hose!

Beautiful shots. The first one is cute and very interesting. The building is really nice.
Interesting shots with even more interesting commentary. I feel so old. You text this thing to make it spout water? Well if I'm not an elephant's aunt.
wow! how cool is that? I love outdoor art pieces.
Olá amigo! O teu espaço é muito bonito e tem belas fotos, porém se colocares um tradutor ficará melhor.
Abraços,
Furtado.
You are kidding about it being art, aren't you?
Love your shot of the building though!
