They usually put small statues of Madonnas or angels in these alcoves. First time I've seen a garden gnome.

Hunger?

This is a new statue installed next to the new tribunal buildings. I am not sure what it represents but the children are too thin and she's hugging them. Is she Hunger?

Open air ants

An open air inflatable sculpture exhibition has been running in the city throughout the summer. This is the least ugly piece, it reflects the light quite nicely. Pity about the ants.
