Fire parade
This parade of fire jugglers and fire eaters was also part of the Nocturne des Coteaux de la Citadelle. It was amazing!

Les anchoises
One of the events taking place during the Nocturne des Coteaux de la Citadelle was a concert by a great local band called Les Anchoises. Here's a couple of photos.

La nocturne des Coteaux de la Citadelle
Yesterday we went to the annual nocturnal opening of the Citadel Hill. It's a sort of festival of lights with many associated events such as concerts, fire eating processions and, of course, food and drink. Most public building were illuminated for the occasion. Here's the Provincial Palace, in shiny green and eerie red.

Kennedy bridge by night
A view of the Kennedy bridge and the Meuse river by night, taken just before the 14th of July fireworks.
We're moving to our new flat tomorrow. If everything goes well I will post again soon!

More Espagna!
Another couple of photos from yesterday's spanish celebrations. Hundreds of cars came streaming into the city centre hooting their horns and waving their flags.
Espagna!
The Liège spanish community came out in force tonight to celebrate Spain's World Cup win. They'll probably stay out all night, waving their flags and blowing their vuvuzelas.

Red moon
A couple of days ago I took this photos of a red full moon rising over Liège rooftops.
In this second shot I had to tweak the shadows in an image processing software to bring out the buildings. Consequently the moon has a bizarre dark corona.

Spring is here
Spring is here but I haven't had time yet to go out shooting it. So here's a winter photo, complete with darkness and snow. It wasn't all that long ago...
