Even more Palais Provincial
A final set of photos from the Provincial Palace. These are from the main entrance hall column and ceiling decorations.

More Palais Provincial
A couple more photos of the interior of the Provincial Palace. The treats on the tables are raw carrots, radishes and cauliflower to be dipped in two different sauces (probably tartare and thousand island, straight from the supermarket).

Palais Provincial
We were invited to a reception at the Provincial Palace, which happens to be the Palace of the Bishop Princes, in honour of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Liege. It was a great opportunity to finally see what the Palace looks like from the inside. As you might expect, there's plenty of mirrors, chandeliers and gold leaf.

A whole new Opera
These are the renovation works of the Royal Walloon Opera building. Initially I thought they were just going to repair the roof or something but I was obviously wrong. I can't begin to imagine what the final building will look lie... It appears that the renovation budget is close to 27 million Euros.

Ugly building, sunset and Skywatch
One of the ugliest buildings in Liège lies on top of one of its most prominent hills. At least the sunset is pretty. More Skywatch here.

The University of Narnia
Some photos of the University of Liege campus. I don't take the car to work any more, I can get there through my wardrobe.

It's full of stars!
The ceiling of the Palais des Congrès, the Liège Congress Hall. The hall was built in the 60s and it shows but the ceiling decoration is quite impressive.
