Skywatch blog there's plenty of idyllic sunsets, glorious sunrises and sunbaked afternoons to remind me what good weather feels like.

It has been a pretty dire May, hasn't it? I see little tantalizing contrails in this shot. Here in the UK there are warnings of more ash cloud flight disruption. My son, who is studying aeronautical engineering at university, is beginning to wonder if he's chosen the wrong course!
